# Developer Console & Commands

## Opening the console

- Press **Ctrl + Shift + ~** (the tilde/backquote key under Esc).
- Two commands work without unlocking:
  - `fog`: toggle world fog
  - `mute_pa`: mute or unmute PA announcements
- Everything else first needs `unlock_commands` followed by the code given in the community guide.
- Most world and gameplay commands are **host-only**.
