How you earn and lose money in CRACK: selling shell and minerals, work orders, quotas, dream bonuses, gambling, transfers, fees and wealth redistribution.
Every crack earns money, and money buys a better way to crack. Money is tracked per player.
Ways to earn

| Selling fragments | Haul buckets to the Resource Depot. The trailer shows a terminal payout of +$9.00 for collected eggshell. |
| Deeper materials | Ore deposits and precious minerals in the egg depths are worth more. Some are processed first, and some are used for robot upgrades. |
| Gold Geodes | Break a chunk off for Struck Gold. |
| Resource quotas | Deliver a set amount of a specific resource for a cash bonus. |
| Side tasks | Example from the trailer: find four Chalazae crystals for $50. |
| Supply Shortage | Timed event: “SHELL PAYS X2” until a set time. |
| Dream Bonus | Percentage bonus on the shift’s profit in the day summary. |
| Slot machines & prize wheel | Gambling in the staff room. It can pay, and it can also land on NO LUCK. |
Ways to lose money
- Sleep aid fee: paid if you’re not in bed at shift end. $5 by default since v1.0.43 (was $20).
- Wealth redistribution: an event that can take more than half your balance (Seized Assets achievement).
- Failed events: a failed productivity audit carries a penalty, except in Chill Mode.
- Gambling losses.

- Workbots and their upgrades
- Golf cart upgrades (possible from anywhere since v1.0.35)
- Cosmetics last: lab coat colors (Fashion Police for buying all of them)
Money achievements
- Great Asset: earn $10,000 for the Company (3.5%)
- Team Player: transfer $1,000 to a coworker (1.9%)
- Jackpot: max payout on a slot machine (6.5%)
- Seized Assets: lose more than half your money to a wealth redistribution (4.3%)
- Professional Intern: a 10% Dream Bonus on $0 profit (23.6%)
- Fashion Police: buy all lab coat colors (2.3%)

How do you make money fast in CRACK?
Sell deeper, rarer materials instead of plain shell, take on resource quotas for cash bonuses, automate with workbots, and haul several buckets at once with a golf cart. Watch for Supply Shortage events that double the price of shell.
What is the Dream Bonus in CRACK?
A bonus percentage applied to your shift profit in the end-of-day summary. Getting a 10% Dream Bonus on a $0 profit unlocks the Professional Intern achievement. Since v1.0.43, dream bonuses are no longer lost if you quit before the summary.
